Scanner Freaks Official Release:
The chemistry had not been good with the other Member, Derrick Baronowsky, and they had decided to let him know they were continuing on without him. However they wished him the best of luck as he continued down his own musical path.
This morning (July 22nd, 2008) Derrick hacked into the Scanner Freaks' email address and myspace page, changed access to both, then systematically deleted all of the friends and content from the myspace page without the expressed consent of the other band member, in an attempt to erase the last few years of sweat and blood the other members had put into the band.
Hours of cumulative work went into the creation and management of the page, much of which cannot be recovered. This is the virtual equivalent of destruction of property.

Rest assured the Scanner Freaks will not let this minor set back dissuade them. They still do not have access to the page, however once they do, they will do their best to restore the damage done. They have new songs on the way and are planning to play a show sometime this fall.
This message is being posted around the area as a warning about an unstable individual who did not merely perpetrate this act in blind anger, which could almost be understandable, but plotted and worked hard to accomplish his ends. If you have a chance to work with this individual, do not.
